Clear Water Meter / Sprinkling Credit
What it does
The Clear Water Meter Program lets residents measure outside water use that does not enter the sanitary sewer, such as lawn/garden sprinkling, pool filling, car washing, or underground sprinkler systems.
Who pays?
The property owner buys the clear water meter. Utility staff install it. Plumbing modifications require a permit and are the property owner’s responsibility.
Practical note: clear water meter savings depend on how much outdoor water you use. Heavy irrigation users may benefit more than households with little outside usage.
